From Superman Girlfriend Lois Lane #123 comes proof that advertisers believe that the average comic book reader is below average in height.  I wonder if this was how Dr. Scholl got started?  Maybe he was part owner of the Liftee company (obviously creativity wasn’t important to these folks).  I’d make more fun of these except for the fact that they’re available in pretty much any store you got to nowadays.  Kind of pointless to send away for them in a mail order ad, isn’t it?  Probably cheaper to buy them in store too.


I wonder if the girl in the ad knows that her beau pads his shoes?  Ah well, she probably pads her bra.  Then again, he probably pads his shorts.  Dear lord, when will all this padding end?
