From Two Gun Kid #120 comes this wonderful 1970s ad for HUNTING BIRDS! Seriously? People reading Two Gun Kid, a Marvel Comics Western hero, are the same folks who’d be interested in a hunting owl? Does that seem like sound marketing to you?
And what kind of goofy laws do we have when you can’t get a NATIVE bird, but it’s okay to IMPORT A TRAINED HUNTING BIRD FROM A FOREIGN COUNTRY? Doesn’t that violate the whole no foreign florae and faunae sign you see at the airport?
Ah well, at least the birds have no diseases that could harm man or fowl… poor Fido and Rex are goners though.
